Invited to create a poster for the exhibition "Flavors within Reach" with the theme of "Local Cuisine"
"Flavor within Reach" is a cross-cultural event centered around the theme of "flavor" and driven by the path of "design."
The main exhibition features over twenty sets of "local cuisine posters" created by designers, alongside food-related works from more than twenty designers and studios. These pieces explore how design interprets taste and showcase the cultural essence of regional culinary practices.
Throughout the exhibition, we will bridge food, language, and local culture through dialogues, workshops, dining events, and digital content—offering a multidimensional experience that merges visual art, taste, and daily life.
"Braised Mixed Fish in Soy Sauce" is a flavor woven into the everyday lives of Southern Fujian people—more than just a dish, it embodies the freshness of the sea served at the table and the warmth of cherished memories through time.
To capture the genuine homestyle feel, I adopted a light "handbook" style—featuring friendly handwritten text and steps reminiscent of a mother’s kitchen notes, from sautéing scallions, ginger, and garlic to simmering the fish in soy sauce. It’s like flipping through a coastal family’s recipe journal, preserving methods passed down through generations.
This is not just a poster—it’s a "flavor note" you can take with you. Just like the living essence of coastal life, it brings "local flavor" right into the rhythm of everyday days.
《风味在附近》是一场以“风味”为主题、以“设计”为路径的跨界文化活动。
主体展览呈现二十余组设计师创作的“地方菜海报”,并汇集二十余组设计师/工作室的饮食相关作品,展现设计对风味的感知,呈现在地饮食的文化内容。
展览期间还将联动饮食、语言与地方文化,通过对谈、工作坊、餐桌活动与线上内容等形式,带来融合视觉、味觉与生活体验的多维呈现。
“酱油水杂鱼”是闽南人刻进日常的味道——它不只是一道菜,更是大海送上餐桌的鲜美,和岁月里温暖的生活记忆。
为让这份家常感更真实可触,我用轻松的“手帐”风格呈现:亲切手写体搭配妈妈厨房笔记般的步骤,从葱姜蒜爆香到酱油水焖煮收汁。像翻开沿海人家的食谱手札,还原代代相传的做法。
这不仅仅是一张海报,更是能带走的“风味笔记”。就像海边生活的烟火气——让“在地风味”,落到平常日子里去。
