Invited to create the theme poster for the "Xiamen Temperament" graphic design exhibition at Xiamen International Fashion Week

The design exhibition will be held from October 16 to 30, 2025, on Xiamen's Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, where the vibrant atmosphere brings design closer to the public.

Drawing from the daily life, scenery, essence, and memories of Xiamen, the posters transform the abstract concept of "Xiamen Temper" into tangible visuals. Unlike traditional gallery exhibitions, the curator, Art-holder, has placed the exhibition in the streets, integrating art into the fabric of everyday life. Design is not merely a visual expression but also a medium for emotion. The hope is that residents and visitors, while strolling, will unexpectedly encounter the multifaceted personality of Xiamen and rediscover the city's warmth.

When invited to create a poster for the theme "Xiamen Temper," one phrase almost instantly came to mind: "So what else do you want?"

This phrase is the quintessential refrain in Minnan (Southern Fujian) disputes. It sounds confrontational, yet upon closer reflection, there's a touch of humor—imagine someone already furious, stepping even closer, almost right in your face, and throwing out this question with a mix of fierceness and whimsy. Behind this temper lies a unique footnote of the Minnan character.

Using full-page graffiti-style text to present this phrase directly aims to capture the immediacy of "words shoved right in your face." With unapologetic boldness, it recreates the spirit of the moment, directly "charging" at you—this, perhaps, is the most vivid embodiment of the Minnan temper.

设计展于2025.10.16-10.30在厦门中山路步行街举办，这里的烟火气让设计真正贴近大众。

从厦门的日常、风光、气息与记忆中，通过海报将“厦门脾气”从抽象概念到具象呈现。不同于以往在美术馆的展览，这次策展方声物品牌设计(Art-holder) 将展览置于街头，让艺术融入市井日常。设计不仅是视觉表达，更是情感的媒介。希望市民与游客在漫步中，不经意地触摸到厦门的多元性格，重新感知这座城市的温度。

收到 “厦门脾气” 主题海报的创作邀请时，脑海里几乎瞬间就跳出一句话：“阿不然你想怎样？”

这句话，是闽南人吵架的“灵魂标配”。听起来很冲，细品却有点幽默——明明对方已经气冲冲，却还要凑近你，几乎怼到面前，“奶凶奶凶”地抛出这句质问。这脾气背后藏着独有的闽南性格注脚。
   
用满版涂鸦式的大字直接呈现这句话，就是要那种“话已怼到眼前”的直观感，带着理直气壮，还原那股现场的神韵，直接“冲”着你——这，大概就是闽南脾气最生动的样子。
