"Studio Void" won the 2024 Award 360°·Best 100 Commercial Branding
The Award360° Annual Design Award is an award rooted in a Chinese perspective and set within an Asian context, selecting 100 annual best design works each year. Award360° aims to provide the industry and society with fresh perspectives on design thinking every year. For Award360° 2024, seven renowned designers from home and abroad—including Han Jiaying, Liu Zhizhi, Mei Shuzhi, Qu Minmin & Jiang Qian from China, as well as Satō Taku and Okazaki Tomohiro from Japan, and Park Yeounjoo from Korea—formed a professional judging panel. Together, they selected the 100 best design works of 2024 during the preliminary and final judging stages.
This year's AWARD360° competition received entries from 17 countries and regions, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and Serbia. After the preliminary judging by the jury, a total of 412 entries and 8 annual newcomer candidates advanced to the final round. From these, the jury will select the "AWARD360° BEST 100," and further choose the "AWARD360° Gold Award" winners across various categories as well as one Grand Prize. Additionally, the annual "Newcomer Award" winner will be selected from the 8 newcomer candidates.

Brand Design
In the visual creation for "STUDIO VOID," we reinterpret the concepts of "void" (空) and "echo" (响)—not as physical emptiness and echo, but as the path of thinking and flow of consciousness generated by spatial designers in their projects. It is an exploration of the relationship between space, time, and people.
To make this "flowing thought" visible, we used spinning tops as a medium. Through 3D printing, we created spinning tops and experimented with embedding different pen cores inside. When set in motion by hand, they produced natural movement trajectories, building a connection between "object" and "field."
We sought to document these trajectories and unexpectedly discovered that even slight variations in the force or angle of each spin resulted in entirely different patterns. These forms were born from unrepeatable physical moments. The dynamic motion of the spinning tops transformed abstract design thinking into a coherent and memorable visual language.
In terms of material selection, we chose Japanese Sakura Snow paper. Its delicate, snow-like texture, combined with debossing techniques, resembles faint footprints left on a snowy landscape. This not only reinforces the quiet and expansive atmosphere of "void" and "resonance" but also grounds the visual language in a tangible, tactile experience.
